Masters of Education and 25 years experience launching technology and media products in private sector. Currently a licensed Special Educator, a School Based Technology Specialist (ITRT) in Fairfax County Public Schools and University Lecturer at George Mason University's Graduate School of Education.
Prior to that Mark managed a media consultancy coordinating product launches for fortune 500 companies. He coordinated the final IPO of the Millennium in 1999 for one of the first streaming media companies. In the early 1990s he headed Associated Press’s efforts to launch a global television newsgathering operation using the latest digital video compression technologies. He launched APTN in 1994 with 96 bureaus in 86 countries. Mark started his career as a foreign editor, writer, editor, producer and executive producer for NBC News and CNN.
As a teacher and university lecturer his focus is on using media to reach non-verbal students. His current work includes supporting a Title I school with a population which is majority English as a Second Language and majority Free and Reduced Lunch. It is a challenging atmosphere, with a very high use of technology.
