I am a PhD candidate and instructor in the Department of History at Michigan State University. I am currently working on my dissertation on the resettlement of East German refugees in West Germany in the 1950s. I am also the department's website admin (overseeing two site revisions), and I have worked for several years for MATRIX, MSU's digital humanities research center, working primarily on interface design and content management. I first became familiar with WordPress when I set up and ran a class blog for one of my professors, and I am now using it in the class I am teaching this semester (HST 201 - Historical Methods and Skills Seminar, linked above).
